Elias, the little boy in the center of this photo is my first and so far only grandson, with his mother, my oldest daughter. As you can tell by my niece and her blue tongue on the right, just because they have children, does not mean that they have grown up. She has two boys of her own.
It is for Eli and any who come after him that I collect all of this information for. Well, that is not entirely true, I also do it for myself. Genealogy to me is like a treasure hunt, a puzzle, an a journey all rolled into one. But at the end of the day, I don't have a standard piece of cardboard, or some worthless trinket...I have information that will have value forever.
The little Batman is Bastian, the guest of honor at the party. Unbeknownst to him, he portrayed Batman on the same day as the Batman premier massacre in Colorado...
But to a newly two-year there is not a care in the world, only cake, ice cream, masks, friends and whistles.
Finally, my great-nephew Rylan, son of my nephew, with his mother. Rylan is the first cousin of the birthday boy Sebastian. He was born within a week of my grandson Elias, and they are both now three.
Our family history of multi-cultural and multi-racial heritage continues, and will. That's a part of being an American. And what makes us truly, a true American Family.
